Finished Razorfen Kraul Prepwork

March 6, 2007 at 9:36 am (Horde, Lv 20-30, Lv 30-40, Prepwork, Razorfen Kraul, Scarlet Monastery)

Here you go, for levels 26-30 for the Horde!

Razorfen Kraul

I also did a mock up of Scarlet Monastery Prep, but you shouldn’t look at it. In fact, if you even consider looking at it, then you have a serious mental problem.

Update on teh fishing…

March 5, 2007 at 8:47 am (Battlegrounds, Fishing, Horde, Lv 20-30, Server: Dunemaul, Warlock Adventures)

Monday, March 5, 2007

Well, a little over one week and I currently have over 400g. Wow that’s fast. I have a couple of additional observations to make. On Friday and Saturday, you can sell a lot of fish. Really. People will start to check the AH more for the weekend and will start playing the game more. I suppose that’s the best time to cook the fish. On Saturday, I did three rounds of fishing for a total of at least 220 fish. So, I sold about 11 stacks of fish for about 8g each. I should have upped the price a little bit. Maybe I could have sold them all for 10g each. Oh well.

I also did plenty of battlegrounds. I have 1635 honor, received my Warsong Gulch trinket (Lv 20), and received my Arathi Basin boots (Lv 28). Catch me if you can! I thought about getting the Arathi Basin trinket, but it didn’t appeal to me. I mean, it’s only a weak personal bubble. During my static party, if we’re screwed, I don’t see how a bubble could save me. I mean, by the time the mob starts attacking me, it’s usually just me and Kathane left alive. It’s not that great of a trinket. Plus, we’d have to wait for everyone else to run back to the instance (or Keceltes to soulstone if he hasn’t wasted it already).

I’m not sure what I’m saving the money for. I’m a Warlock… I don’t really need money for a mount. It’s not like the flying mounts are any good. I guess it does counter the fact that the Grimoires for my pets are the equivalent cost of a mount. But still, I have plenty of extra gold to go around. Hell, I could even buy mounts for the rest of my static party (not that I will, so don’t get any ideas guys). Oh well. Maybe something spectacular will catch my eye and I’ll be the envy of all Warlocks when I own it. Or… maybe not.

Oh yah, apparently Blizzard released a thing called the Armory earlier this weekend. Go and check it out. Basically you can look at any character’s equipped equipment, main profession skills, and even talent spec. Some claim it’s an invasion of privacy. I say, who the fook cares? I secretly think it’s for our security, like how the new airport x-ray machines can look at our nekkid bodies.

Here are the direct links to my static party’s profiles on the Armory:

Kathanir – Rogue
Keceltes – Priest
Sindral – Paladin
Skarra – Mage
Tanthion – Warlock

I do not recommend opening the links all at one time. Apparently the beta version has a lot of load time with the javascript, xml, and server latency. Also these profiles aren’t updated immediately. Sindral turned level 30 sometime last night, but at this moment (9:20 am pst) it still says he’s level 27.

Oh yah, here’s the profile of one of our beloved FFXI friends:

Norejai – Hunter

A New Love… Battlegrounds

March 3, 2007 at 4:56 am (Battlegrounds, Horde, Lv 20-30, The Elven Life, Warlock Adventures)

Yet one more thing that I found that I like about WoW. Battlegrounds. Before, I wasn’t much into PvPing. I remember when BG came out, I was like WTF?!?! Great, another senseless competition between two groups of people that I won’t enjoy and will probably be slaughtered in. After another month or two I quit.

Fast forward 18 months later. Now it’s like, great… I’m in a static party and have very little to do that doesn’t give me experience points. I already maxed out all of my professions at 225. I’ve finished watching all five seasons of Quantum Leap, so fishing is starting to get a little boring. What else am I to do?

Kathanir had a lovely idea though after one static party night. Let’s try BG. Well, at first I didn’t like the idea. Great, doing more things that I don’t like. But I swear she used her feminine wiles to trick me. Feminine wiles meaning she just asked me again. And I fell for it! Unfortunately, my first BG experience was not so good. Mostly because I hid the little pop up menu, then I couldn’t see my emblem to join BG since it was hidden behind my CT and RA buttons. Swell.

The next BG, my first real one, we all successfully joined. It wasn’t so bad. I had my Imp out and ran around for a bit. I didn’t do a great job, and in fact, I believe we lost. Oh well. That wasn’t so bad.

Then I tried one with Kat alone. Arathi Basin. Horde totally owned and controlled practically the whole map. It was nice to win it so easily. The next day I tried Warsong Gulch. I did three runs and Horde won all three. It was nice…

Yesterday, I played for a bit at work. Ya know, just to wake me up before I do actual work. But, then lunch time came… Then I got my warlock trinket from Warsong Gulch. Then I played some more… And then soon I found myself leaving work… I think I’m fooking addicted. I earned around 860 honor. I tasted victory. My playing skills improved. Now I use my Succubus, use bandages and potions, try to take on one to three people at one time. About 30-40% of the time, I do the most damage for the Horde. About 5-10%, I get the most honorable kills and the most deathblows. It’s freakin’ sweet.

Hell, I was even daring enough to capture the flag and return it to our base a couple of times. Me? A cloth wearer? With only 1000 hps? It’s amazing I survived the trek at all. But I did… and I liked it. Here is a recap of one of my battles:

[10:13] Tanthion: woot! i entered late and i still ranked #1 in honorable kills, death blows, and damage done
[10:14] Skarra: ha
[10:14] Skarra: warlocks own
[10:14] Tanthion: i entered and the score was alliance 1 / horde 0
[10:14] Tanthion: then it was 2/0
[10:14] Tanthion: then at the end it was 2/3
[10:14] Tanthion: bitches!

Then in another battle:
[12:23] Tanthion: woot! i entered the game at 2/0
[12:23] Tanthion: came back to win it with 2/3
[12:24] Tanthion: and i carried in the last flag
[12:24] Tanthion: i hid on the roof until our flag was returned
[12:24] Tanthion: jumped down and turned it in a split second
[12:24] Tanthion: before two alliance rogues jumped me
[12:24] Tanthion: and i guess they were after the flag as well
[12:24] Tanthion: stealthing = slow fools!

BG is pretty nice. I’ll keep on playing it, especially since I’m at the top of my level group right now. I need more items!
